Macon, GA - H. Dean Hinson, president of Morris Network, Inc., a division of Morris Multimedia, Inc., announced today that he has named Chris Aldridge general manager of WTVQ-TV/DT, the ABC network affiliate in Lexington, KY. Morris acquired WTVQ from Media General, Inc. last month.

Aldridge, 49, previously served as WTVQ general manager from 1992 through 1999. He presently resides in Lexington with his wife Eva and their two children.

After leaving WTVQ in November, 1999, Aldridge worked two years at WSAZ-TV in Charleston-Huntington, WV before returning to Lexington in 2001 to manage a privately owned small market radio company. In 2005 he assumed his present position of general manager and associate publisher of Lane Communications Group, publisher of The Lane Report, a monthly Kentucky business news magazine. In addition to his publishing responsibilities, Aldridge engaged in some radio and television broadcast consulting work for the past three years.  Aldridge’s television career spans more than twenty years and includes stops in Greensboro, NC, Tallahassee, FL, and Chattanooga, TN.

Hinson had this to say regarding the hiring of Aldridge:  “Chris brings both television and local market experience to our new station in Lexington.  His background in the television business and his experience in other related marketing endeavors made him the ideal candidate to take over the management of WTVQ for Morris Network, Inc.  We are very pleased to have him join our company.”
In commenting on his appointment, Aldridge said: “I’m very excited to return to WTVQ and work for a terrific company like Morris. I’m very grateful to Mr. Hinson for giving me this opportunity, and I look forward to delivering positive results for our company.”
