Action News 36 has learned the names of the people involved in a deadly accident Monday morning at the Jessamine-Garrard county line.

State police say 52-year-old David Ballard of Stanford was killed after he was hit by a car driven by 24-year-old Rita Pradhan of Danville.

Police say Pradhan was driving on U.S. 27, when she lost control of her car causing it to cross into on-coming traffic where it hit Ballard's Motorcycle.  
Ballard was pronounced dead at the scene.

Not including this accident, 57 people have died in motorcycle related accident this year in Kentucky.
