is an award winning reporter who joined Action News 36 in the Spring of 1998 as the weekend anchor and general assignment reporter.
She helped Action News launch the stations first noon show back in September 2001 and covered education issues across central Kentucky for several years.

Today she dedicates her time to covering crime and the courts as well as other general news of the day.

Before making Kentucky home, Michelle lived in Fort Smith, Arkansas where she was the morning anchor and a general assignment reporter.

She started her career in Ardmore, Oklahoma where she was a "one man band".   Michelle traveled all across Southern Oklahoma and North Texas carrying her own camera gear and shooting her own stories. She eventually moved to her station's headquarters in Sherman, Texas where she was a reporter, producer and anchor.

Michelle is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in her hometown of Dallas. Even though she is a proud native Texan she is equally proud of her Kentucky ties.  Her extended family lives in Germantown and Covington and her mother is a U.K. graduate.

Michelle is an active volunteer in the community.  She is on the board of directors of the Woodford Humane Society, is a member of the Junior League, and volunteers for Junior Achievement.  She is also a past member of the Chrysalis House board of directors.

Michelle has won several awards for her reporting during her career.   She is a three time Emmy Nominee and won her first Emmy in 2007.

In 2005 she won a regional Edward R. Murrow award for her three part special report on the police pay crisis in Lexington.

Michelle is a big dog lover and in her free time enjoys photography, scrapbooking, rubber stamping/card making.  She has recently taken an interest in flea market shopping where she says you can get a good deal on some great finds!
