Update on Tropical Storm Fay...

Tropical Storm Fay has now moved off the coast of Cuba and is drifting through the Florida Straits. The storm is expected to push northwestward by steering flow around high pressure over the western Atlantic. As the storm passes over the warm water of the Straits of Florida, it will slowly gain strength this afternoon and evening.

Fay is forecast to be a Category 1 hurricane when it makes landfall between Fort Myers and Naples, Florida on Tuesday. Fay is now expected to continue to slowly track northward through Florida Tuesday night and early Wednesday.
